Hi,
My name is Dan Kirksey.
I've been a freelance photographer for over 20 years. I started in photography back in high school with black & white, developing my own film and prints in the darkroom. Continuing in college and a Photo Journalism major I continued to expand in the field. Through the years as digital photography progressed and Photoshop became the main stream I continued to progress with the industry. I've worked on assignments for commercial real estate developers, weddings, portraits, Pop Warner Football and Cheer competions.
For the past couple of years my main focus has been high school sports. Youth sports has been my most rewarding and enjoyable subject. The expressions, the commitment, and the determination in kids faces reveals their inner person; this is the essence of photographing your subject. No other genre can duplicate this.
It's my hope that you'll find that special photograph of your son, daughter, grandaughter or grandson, that captures the true essence of the person, "a picture speaks a thousand words". I hope I can help you obtain that photograph with my work on the fields.
I'll be attending as many events as possible throughout the year at Orange Glen High School. This school means a lot to our family, although I'm not an Alumni, my wife is, and we have a close connection with a lot of the staff and student body. I look forward to seeing you and your children on the various sports fields. Please feel free to talk to me, I appreciate your comments. I promise to do my best to get your young adult in as many pictures as I possibly can. Given the numbers of players it's hard to cover everyone, but I'll do my best.
